Alex Thompson is originally from Lexington, Kentucky and has over 14 years of Marketing, Events and Public Relations experience. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Thompson began his career in NASCAR as the Public Relations Manager for Robby Gordon. He moved up in the racing industry to become the Media Relations Manager for the American Le Mans Series followed by his position of Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Kinetic Motorsports. Thompson was first exposed to the yachting industry working for a company that possessed Trinity Yachts and the International Yacht Collection as clients handling events and select marketing efforts. This was his entry into the world of luxury marketing which he credits as a pivotal moment in his professional life.
Thompson eventually moved to Southern California for three years where he furthered his skills with luxury marketing becoming the Marketing Director for a luxury auto dealership group specializing in Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren and Maserati brands. Seeking a return to the yachting industry and Southern Florida, he crossed the country again and now serves as the Marketing and Events Specialist for Allied Marine, a Ferretti Group company. Thompson is responsible for Allied Marine’s marketing efforts specific to branding, advertising, events and communications. He is married to his wife Carolyn and lives in the Fort Lauderdale area.
