Ferretti Yachts continues to forge into uncharted waters with nautical masterpieces that combine performance, comfort, and style. This design excellence derives from the innovative synergy between the Ferretti Group product strategy committee, the engineering department, and an accomplished design team.

Unmistakable style, amenity-rich spaces, and leading-edge technologies are some of the hallmarks of this intelligent and classy fleet of pleasure yachts.

When one given passion continues for over four decades, it becomes history. Ferretti Yachts was founded in 1968, a symbolic year for the history of both the world and the sea. Three years later, in 1971, their first wooden motor sailer enjoyed great success when presented at the Genoa Boat Show. Fitted with both a sail and an engine, the yacht was 10 meters in length and especially comfortable for cruises.

Soon afterwards Ferretti was listed among the most prestigious shipyards in the world. In 1982, Ferretti presented its first motor yacht and began building sport fisherman models too, both open and flybridge. These yachts already featured revolutionary innovations which are still applied throughout the nautical industry today: a stern helm position, swinging windows in the salon which open out onto the cockpit, and an internal passage from the salon to the flying bridge.

The nineties were characterized by research and development within the sphere of nautical engineering through establishment of the Engineering division, and winning performances in Offshore competitions. Over the next few years, the company expanded to encompass its current range, renewed year after year with cutting-edge design solutions.

The Ferretti yard has pioneered a succession of ingenious high-tech solutions that set new standards and have revolutionized the pleasure boating world. These include:

  • Underbody exhausts
  • Tilting windows between the inside lounge area and exterior cockpit
  • Ferretti Trim and Drag Reduction (F-TDR)
  • Electro-hydraulic active steer-by-wire systems
  • Infusion lamination process construction - XFT (Cross-Fibre Technology)
  • Built-in glazing in the hull
  • Stabilization systems for at anchor and underway

A commitment to investment in research and development keeps such innovations forthcoming. Many of these improve the human–yacht interface and make navigation and operation even easier. And ever-present on the drawing board are ideas to enhance living spaces and onboard comfort derived from original layouts and trailblazing technologies. Ferretti Yachts standards include:

  • Integrated monitoring and navigation systems
  • Joystick navigation for easy cruising and mooring
  • Interactive digital technology
  • Submersible hatches
  • Multifunctional ceiling systems with LED lights, sound, and air-conditioning systems
